                                          HAPPY BIRTHDAY  US!

There were lots of smiles at our birthday party! Perhaps it was the glasses of prosecco served by Rita, to welcome the ladies, or maybe the afternoon teas, prepared by the committee  or even our presentation of “Murder at the Manor”! Congratulations to our winning sleuths : Barbara, Marianne and Janet and many thanks to all the ladies who contributed to the celebrations.

                   August Update

Good Evening ladies !      Welcome back to the monthly meeting!

As restrictions ended we expected that our newsletters would too, as you can catch up with everything (and everybody) at the monthly meetings .  However , on reflection, we will be issuing short updates each month , alongside the usual diary dates. These will be available to collect at the meeting – and feel free pick one up for any ladies who can`t make it – but we won`t be delivering or posting to absentees.

         Happy Birthday to us!
   103 and still going strong!

Better late than never…join us for a belated birthday celebration on Saturday August 14th at the Village Hall . Arrive at for  Afternoon Tea , followed by “Murder at the Manor” , a short murder mystery presented by a (willing?) group of volunteers from our committee  and  a couple of other ladies. Set in locked – down Farningham, your task will be to discover how the Lady of the Manor ended up floating in her swimming pool…… Please sign the list this evening as we need to know numbers for catering. (Thank you to Delma Gould of Axstane Players for allowing us to plagiarise her script!)

Calling all cake-bakers!

It was great to see so many smiling faces at our `Beside the Seaside` event in July. The fish and chips arrived on time – unlike the speaker  – but we carried on regardless, enjoying a lively game of Bingo and a light-hearted quiz. Congratulations to our Bingo winner, Beryl, and our winning quiz team of Sheila, Pat, Marianne and Barbara. Marj found her `inner David Baillie` and provided souvenir photos for each lady to take away. Thank you to the committee members who, as usual , worked hard to make everything run smoothly.

Available from Brenda, plus updated reminders for Tea and Room Stewards. Thank you to Jane who has organised this year`s Speakers and to Lesley for the printing . Details of speakers for March and April 2022 to follow very soon.

To our August ladies : Bridget (12th), Micaela (15th), Tina (18th), Bobby (22nd)

Next Meeting : Thursday September 2nd 7.00.p.m.
